WHO ARE WE?
Asheville Artists' Workshop is a studio and gallery owned by John Westby-Gibson, artist and long-time resident of Asheville, NC.
John is a UNCA alumnus with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mixed media sculpture. He graduated in the spring of 2006 with honors and Distinction in Arts. John continued his education at Western Carolina University in the Fall of 2006 and completed his Master of Art in Teaching degree in December of 2008. He is a licensed K-12 teacher and has taught in the Buncombe County School System for the past two years prior to opening Asheville Artists’ Workshop in April 2010.
